Mike Lemmler is the funky keyboardist brother of pianist Matt Lemmler — both were raised in New Orleans just blocks from Fats Domino. He is a fixture on the Crescent City music scene, known especially for his work with George Porter Jr. and the Runnin' Pardners, the band Jubilation, and as a member of the soul-funk trio TriFunctA alongside drummer Wayne Moreau and guitarist Chris Adkins.
Lemmler has backed a host of notables ranging from Leah Chase to Lenny McDaniel, and performs solo with tributes to James Booker and other shows. His session credits include piano on Bonerama's Hot Like Fire, keyboards on Isaiah B. Brunt and Jim Markway records, and producer/engineer work on his brother Matt's Ubuntu album. He remains active: JamBase lists his next date as NOLA Funk Fest in New Orleans on October 18, 2026, following a NOLA Crawfish Festival appearance in April 2025.
