Original Jazz, Blues, and Funk — 200 Shows a Year

Jon Roniger & The Good For Nothin’ Band is a New Orleans group built around singer, songwriter, and guitarist Jon Roniger. The band mixes original jazz, blues, funk, rock, and singer-songwriter material — all original songs, played with a dance-floor sensibility.

The current lineup brings together Roniger on guitar and vocals, Brendan Michael Bull on drums, Bob Kling on bass, Jake Gold on keys, Ellis Seiberling on trombone, and Raph Zee on trumpet. The group plays more than 200 shows a year and tours nationally and internationally.

"Jon Roniger and The Good For Nothin’ Band proudly plays all original grease slicked, jazz licked, funk-blues that draws wayward wanderers from the streets and pulls them to the dance floor."

— Louisiana Music Factory

Releases include Maniac World (2016), Second Shot (2018), and Hello Beautiful (2023) — the latter stocked at Louisiana Music Factory. Roniger himself has a dozen albums to his name across his career, including French-language and acoustic work, and has written music for film and television.
