Gumbeaux Juice is a New Orleans-based hip-hop showcase and platform co-organized by Juan Yusuf, a co-founder of the local rap collective glbl wrmng, alongside Donald Markowitz and Oronde Roussell. The platform describes itself as an innovative space that celebrates living composers, reimagines all genres of music, and collaborates with a wide range of diverse artists, with a specific mission to shine a light on the city's underground and emerging rap talent.
Gumbeaux Juice made its debut at French Quarter Fest in 2020, featuring Ray Wimley & the Harbinger Project — a first for the festival, which had never before hosted a dedicated hip-hop showcase. The platform has returned every year since, serving as a launching pad for artists from across the city's neighborhoods, bringing together voices from Uptown, the West Bank, and beyond. In 2026, its fifth year at the festival, the lineup included G4, Good News Bas, NasGotNext, and Kyle Alexander, backed by DJ PJ.
Beyond French Quarter Fest, Gumbeaux Juice has hosted events at local venues including Peaches Records, where it celebrated National Record Store Day and 420 Day with performances from artists like ikr3wcial, saxkixave, Odd the Artist, and omgitscronos. The platform continues to serve as one of the few dedicated stages for New Orleans' rap scene, helping connect emerging local talent with festival-sized audiences.
