Ambush Reggae Band is an old-school roots reggae group that has been a fixture of the New Orleans music scene for more than fifteen years, playing weekly in the French Quarter, along Frenchmen Street, and in surrounding areas. The band takes its name from lead vocalist Ambush, who fronts a six-piece lineup rounded out by Merc on bass, Keem on drums, Tony on saxophone, Percy on keys, and CJ on guitar.
Ambush Reggae Band has built a loyal following through consistent, high-energy live performances, becoming a regular feature of the New Orleans Jazz Museum's Weekly Positive Vibrations Foundation Balcony Concert series, alongside fellow New Orleans reggae act Higher Heights Reggae Band. The group continues to bring authentic, danceable roots reggae to audiences across New Orleans, a genuine staple of the city's reggae scene for well over a decade.
