The Electric Yat Quartet is a New Orleans string quartet — two violins, viola, and cello — bringing a fresh style to classical, jazz, rock, and pop. The lineup is documented as Harry Hardin and Natalia Cascante on violin, Amelia Clingman on viola, and Jack Craft on cello. With acoustic and electric capabilities and classical and jazz training, the group plays everything from wedding ceremonies to festival stages.
They collaborate constantly with other New Orleans musicians: André Bohren, the Beatles tribute The Walrus, Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes, Trombone Shorty, and Anders Osborne are all on the list. Their rooms have included Tipitina's, Snug Harbor, the Broadside, French Quarter Fest, and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival — plus porch concerts in neighborhoods all over town. Clingman also plays viola with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
Their debut album, Stringin' with Some BBQ, was released in 2023 and is available on CD at the Louisiana Music Factory. In November 2025 they took an all-Gershwin program, with pianist André Bohren, to Snug Harbor.
