Kimberly Kaye is a singer, songwriter, and actor based in New Orleans, best known as the double-barreled co-lead vocalist — with two-time Tony and Grammy winner Michael Cerveris — of Loose Cattle, the Americana-roots rock quintet OffBeat dubbed 'New Orleans favorite cow punks.'
Kaye cut her teeth on the Warped Tour circuit in a ska band before shifting to roots music. With Cerveris, fiddler Rurik Nunan, and a rhythm section of Rene Coman (bass) and Doug Garrison (drums), Loose Cattle's live debut North of Houston led to the studio albums Heavy Lifting (2021) and Someone's Monster (2024), the latter featuring Lucinda Williams and Patterson Hood.
The band has played Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, AmericanaFest, NPR's Mountain Stage, and Lincoln Center. Kaye also directed and co-starred in a New Orleans revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, winning a Big Easy Award for her performance as Yitsak.
