Jenn Howard is a New Orleans-born singer-songwriter known for her powerhouse vocals and emotionally direct performances. Her songs root themselves in Americana, blues, and soul while examining addiction, identity, motherhood, grief, and resilience — inviting listeners to resist numbness and find their way back to one another.
Her five-song EP Glass arrived in October 2026, gathering previously released singles including 'Sip,' 'Addict,' 'Beat the Dead Horse,' and 'Mary,' with 'Bury Your Head' closing the set. It followed her second album, Valiant Women, a ten-track journey of self-discovery whose songs move from funk-lite brass to gospel-tinged piano ballads.
Between the ages of 16 and 21, Howard co-founded the band Project NIM, releasing three albums with a group that featured three future members of The National. She has built her following through festival appearances, collaborations, and original songs alongside covers of Janis Joplin, Patsy Cline, Bonnie Raitt, and Aretha Franklin.
