Biography
Dwayne Dopsie grew up surrounded by zydeco royalty — his father Rockin' Dopsie was one of the giants of the genre. Rather than simply recreating his father's style, Dwayne developed his own approach: harder-edged, more rock-inflected, with a rhythm section that hits with real force. The 'Hellraisers' name is earned. They have toured internationally and built a devoted following on the festival circuit, carrying the zydeco tradition to new audiences around the world.
