Rooted in the small town of Slidell, Louisiana, Bobbi Rae grew up in a family full of love, passion, and purpose — "all I ever wanted to do was spread that same energy to others," she says. Working with Pinpoint Management in 2016, she cut her first single, "I'm Gonna Love Ya," produced by Greg Bieck and Greg Barnhill in Nashville and released through Warner Bros., followed by "Insane Love" (2017) and "Summer" (2018, re-released on the collective album Legal Drugs in 2019).
Her eclectic style has taken her across the country and internationally. In August 2019 she toured Brazil for 30 days, playing Bar Valentino, Café Society, the Bourbon St Club, the Vijazz and Lençóis jazz festivals, and recording for the Metrópolis TV program broadcast Brazil-wide — returning for a second Brazil run in 2022. Along the way she has worked with Tonya Boyd-Cannon, Kermit Ruffins, Herlin Riley, Antoine Drye, and Tank and the Bangas, and opened for Jagged Edge, Raheem Devaughn, and Chrisette Michele.
In 2022 she was tapped as the First Lady of Calvin Richardson's Bossidential Music Group. She headlined Snug Harbor on August 27, 2025, and her recent calendar includes French Quarter Fest and Barrels on the Bayou appearances in New Orleans. (A 2026 bio notes she is spending time in Dallas completing an EP and album — her New Orleans dates continue.)
only a few can create timeless treasures to touch a chord within our very being, and Bobbi Rae is such that artist.
