Born in Taiwan and raised in New Orleans, sora sang in choirs and musical theatre from elementary school onward and studied classical vocal performance in college — but pop was always the goal. The music career's 'birthdate' is November 1st, 2011, when sora wrote a first single in one night; it was released the following April as 'Hello, November.' Two EPs followed — The Insomniac EP: Sleepless Nights on Illuminated Roads and EP gloire — plus a first full-length album, PARAMOUNT.
VOL.24 began as a single-a-month release project in 2021 and grew into sora's second full-length album, a 24-track collection released in 2023. Fan favorites include 'Dance Single,' 'Sugar Pop,' 'Better Than This,' and 'WORK IT,' plus 晚安 -good night-, sora's first release with all-Chinese lyrics, written with help from sora's mom. Laveau Contraire guests on 'stop the dream.'
sora opened for Nymphia Wind and Plastique Tiara's Serpents Tour in 2026 performing 'WORK IT,' and was spotlighted by the New Orleans Public Library's Crescent City Sounds local-music collection in June 2026. Music and limited per-single merch are at soracalling.com; socials are @soracalling.
