Pianist and vocalist Monty Banks brings Rat Pack-era swing to New Orleans eight months a year — Sinatra-style swing cut with Jelly Roll Morton and Fats Domino.

Biography
Monty Banks is a Seattle native who makes New Orleans home from October through May, returning to Seattle for the summers. A pianist, vocalist, and bandleader in the Rat Pack-era swing tradition, his own description of the act runs from Sinatra-style swing through Jelly Roll Morton's syncopated blues to Fats Domino's Creole boogie.
He's played New York, Las Vegas, and cruise ships, but in New Orleans he's a regular at Irene's Cuisine, the Carousel Lounge, the Roosevelt's Fountain Lounge, the Spotted Cat, and Fritzel's, and he played French Quarter Fest 2025 with the High Rollers.
