Guitar Joel is a New Orleans-based singer-songwriter whose years of rock n' rolling are behind him — he now acts on his passion, writing and singing his songs (and others) on his acoustic guitar. His French Quarter gigging requires flexibility: he can read the room and play what works, from covers and uptempo songs to classic songs, 80s and 90s sing-alongs.
His latest album, Grace and Harmony, released in 2024 with the track 'Bayou Moon' among its cuts, collects his original material. He gigs around town — his 2025 calendar included a St. Patrick's Day bash with friends at Finn McCool's Irish Pub — and his WWOZ artist bio notes a plethora of original songs he loves to play.
