Lafayette-born guitarist, songwriter, and musical adventurer C.C. Adcock has spent three decades crafting one of the most singular sounds in Louisiana music — a restless fusion of swamp pop, blues, rock and roll, and Cajun roots that could come from nowhere else.
Biography
Adcock grew up in the musical crucible of Lafayette, where he absorbed the French Creole traditions of his region alongside the blues and R&B rolling in from New Orleans. His guitar playing is distinctive — atmospheric, melodic, and deeply felt — and his songwriting has an emotional directness that cuts through genre categories. He has collaborated with Steve Riley and the Cajun Playboys, Los Lobos, and producer Mark Neill, bringing Louisiana's musical heritage to new audiences.
