A Troubadour for the Next Generation

Born, raised, shaped, and inspired by his hometown of New Orleans, Andrew Duhon tours performing songs that are as much about recognizing our shared stories as they are about telling his own. WWOZ calls him a pure songwriter with a weighted, soulful voice; venue bios add a twang that resonates like heartfelt stories.

His sophomore album The Moorings (2014) was nominated for a Grammy for Best Engineered Album. Since then his catalog has grown to five albums — including False River and Emerald Blue — and his latest, The Parish Record, recorded in Vermillion Parish, brings his songwriting back home to Louisiana.

The usual touring outfit is the Andrew Duhon Trio, with upright bassist Myles Weeks and drummer Jim Kolacek singing three-part harmony — a down-home New Orleans groove alongside the soul of Acadian Louisiana. He has shared stages with Guster, Blind Pilot, and Amos Lee, and played Jazz Fest, Summerfest, Bonnaroo, and Americanafest.
